4 things you DON’T need to do to have a positive body image

Updated: Sep 24, 2022

It is easy to think that a positive body image means loving and feeling comfortable in your body all the time.

I'm here to tell you that it isn't like that at all.

Even when you have done a shed load of body image work, it is unlikely that you will feel amazing in your body all the time ... if ever!

Because a positive body image is about acceptance of your body regardless of what it looks like. This includes appreciating all that it does and is.

It means not attaching your self worth to your weight, shape or size. Knowing that your body is good no matter what.

It is acknowledging that you will have negative thoughts, external influences WILL affect you. But that's ok, you have a toolkit of strategies to help you deal with it all so it doesn't drag you down.

Most importantly it means treating your body with the love and respect it deserves with both your actions and your self talk.

If you cannot respect your body then how can you ever expect to find the fulfilled, healthy balance you crave?

Just a thought ....
